A man of wisdom and intelligence never makes judgments and evaluations without being fully informed. Only a fool evaluates or judges a concept, a man or a group, based upon the witness of their enemies. The mind and the gift of reason has been bestowed upon us by our Heavenly Father for the purpose of discernment and expanding our knowledge and understanding -- and yet, the vast majority of people simply believe blindly -- accepting a thing as fact, without any real knowledge of the subject. You say you either believe, or disbelieve, in Jesus -- but what do you really know about Jesus? What others have told you? What you read in the Bible? What they teach in your Church, Synagogue, Mosque or Temple? What you have learned in school? From books? From those who share the philosophy of your school of thought? And if what you believe is not the Truth, then what you are saying, is that Truth does not really matter. Why? Because, your whole life is both filtered, and is an expression of what you believe -- which means, that if what you believe is not True, then most of your life is Temporal -- and has no real permanence beyond the very limited ripple you have made, in the tides of this culture, and in the world limited to only this timeframe in the long history of the annuls of mankind.

A Letter To The Media

Greetings First Post: With respect to your articles on Ron Howard and the Da Vinci Code at http://thefirstpost.co.uk/index.php?menuID=7&subID=1014 -- which is emblematic of the news coverage of the media as a whole:

While the Churches who are attempting to defend their manmade doctrines which they peddle to unsuspecting blind believers will focus on the fictitious speculation of the Da Vinci Codes, they are in fear that the controversy will cause people to begin to research and seek out the foundational truths upon which the Da Vinci Codes are based.   And in stirring up their dogmatic smoke screen intended to evade the truth, so long as the media permits them to pull the wool over everyone's eyes, they will continue to conceal the fact that their version of Jesus is as fictional as is the speculation of the Da Vinci Codes.   What they don't want you to know, is the fact that the original Ebionite Nazirene disciples and followers of Jesus never believed that he was God -- and that modern scholarship has not only proven that the Ebionites ( http://Ebionite.com ) were correct -- but that modern Christian doctrine is founded upon the religious concepts of Pagan Rome.

On the above Ebionite web site which represents the original Nazirene teachings of Jesus and TheWay, you will learn why Dead Sea Scroll experts and scholars such as A. Powell Davies wrote that “Biblical scholars were not disturbed by what they found in the Dead Sea Scrolls because they had known all along that the origin of Christianity was not what was commonly supposed to have been”.   You will learn the historical facts that have caused scholars to conclude that “Jesus... had been trained in the discipline and imbued with the thought of a certain Jewish sect, and that he had learned from it the role that he afterwards lived...”   And in light of the facts, this has caused Biblical Commentaries to speculate that if the Ebionite Disciples of Jesus who physically knew him, and his disciples and family were a member of, represent the foundation of Jesus' teachings, "...the whole Christian system is vain and baseless"!!!    And it is this fact that the Church has been for a long time evading (see Prof. Hyam Maccoby: The Mythmaker: Paul and the Invention of Christianity ).   When the evidence upon which the Da Vinci Codes was first examined, Prof. John Allegro warned that what has been revealed in the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls is a great amount of overwhelming evidence that “...may upset a great many basic teachings of the Christian Church.   This in turn would greatly upset many Christian Theologians and believers.   The heart of the matter is, in fact, the source and originality of Christian doctrine.”   And there has also been the realization by many of the scholars that there exists a direct connection between the Essenes and the Dead Sea Scrolls, and the Ebionite Disciples of Jesus -- as expressed in the Encyclopedia Britannica: "Most of the features of Ebionite doctrine were anticipated in the teachings of the earlier Qumran sect, as revealed in the Dead Sea Scrolls. They believed in one God and taught that Jesus was the Messiah and was the true "prophet" mentioned in Deuteronomy 18:15. They rejected the Virgin Birth of Jesus, instead holding that he was the natural son of Joseph and Mary. The Ebionites believed Jesus became the Messiah because he obeyed the Jewish Law. They themselves faithfully followed the Law, although they removed what they regarded as interpolations in order to uphold their teachings, which included vegetarianism, holy poverty, ritual ablutions, and the rejection of animal sacrifices. The Ebionites also held Jerusalem in great veneration.

While it is true that the Da Vinci Codes are fictionalized speculation based upon the fact that the Dead Sea Scrolls and other discoveries all confirm the Ebionite witness that Jesus was a true Holy Man and Prophet who so completely fulfilled the Royal Law within himself, that he overcame the inner division and barrier between him and God, and became One with the Indwelling Logos/Son of God.   Those who condemn the Ebionites as heretics, in effect condemn Jesus who taught that he was our brother -- i.e., "Go instead to my brothers and tell them, 'I am returning to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God'" (John 20:17 NIV).   And this is what he taught -- i.e., and that if we pick up our own cross and follow in TheWay, and fulfill the Royal Law within ourselves in the manner that Jesus accomplished within himself, we will ourselves move into Oneness with the Logos/Son of God.   The promise of Jesus was that those who do as he did, and become One with God by overcoming the Law within themselves, will know all that Jesus knew, and would do even greater works and miracles than he did.   He said these words because he was a true Holy Man who himself became One with God -- which is the ultimate destiny of all souls as they evolve from the Alpha of immaturity, to the Omega of Completion and the fulfillment of the Command: "You must be Perfect, as your Heavenly Father is Perfect" (Mt. 5:48).   But more importantly, these facts confirm the manner in which the believer is saved, and achieves salvation, as they imitate the pattern of Jesus, and themselves fulfill the portrayal of the Prodigal Son/Daughter who returns to the Kingdom within (see Gate Of Eden).

How long will the world permit the Church to conceal the true facts of Christian beginnings from the people?   It is easily proven that the corrupted key statements in the Bible were changed in order to create the divinity of Jesus doctrine -- which can still be researched and proven in article on The Ten Words (see http://TheTenWords.com ).   And in like manner, it is easily proven that the Roman Church of the fourth century corrupted the whole of the New Testament in their endeavor to make the Bible support the very Pagan doctrines of Rome (see http://BibleCorruption.com ).    Going so far as to murder the Ebionites and Spiritual Christians who refused to accept the religion of the Emperor Constantine ( http://Ebionite.com/prologue.htm ) -- who was himself a sun-worshipper.    Yet, the world continues to permit the Church to argue about the fictionalized part of the Da Vinci Codes, while ignoring the facts upon which the fictionalized speculation is built?

In your introduction (see below) to your History & Biography section where you claim that you have covered all sides of the Da Vinci Code controversy, you state: "If only a more worthy work could have prompted such attention."

In answer to your question you will find Jesus himself stating to you that more worthy works have been set before the Christian world many times, but they have continued to ignore what the very Hand of God has placed before them.   And because the Church has prayed for greater wisdom and knowledge, and God has answered their prayers -- but then in the same way that the Pharisees rejected Jesus, the Church rejected what God has given them, as seen at the following link in a previous letter to the media on the subject of the Da Vinci Code (see http://ebionite.com/EbioniteDenial.htm ) -- the same Hand of God has raised up the fictional account of the Da Vinci Code in order to force the Church to re-evaluate its own variety of fictionalized error.   Because the Church rejected the Truth when it was placed in their hands, God raised up the fictionalized error of much of the Da Vinci Code, in order to create the necessary controversy to bring attention to the equally fictionalized error that the Church has been publishing since the fourth century.   So while much of the Da Vinci Code is founded upon certain truths, what they promote is fictionalized speculation -- and thus, God has raised up one error, in order to draw attention to the fictionalized error of the Church.   In the end the people will begin to become aware of the Foundational Truths that the Church was given, but continued to conceal from the people.

If you understand the way the Laws work which moves the events of this world, man is always given the opportunity to embrace the Truth and TheWay, prior to the tribulations that force him to surrender to the Will of God.   As detailed at the above link, Christianity was given a great wealth of proof that would enable them to restore the spiritual essence of the Church -- but they ignored what God placed in their hands.   And under Pope John Paul II, the Church of Rome which plunged the world into the abyss of spiritual ignorance, was given the opportunity to repent from the evil that was wrought upon the world (see Epistle Of James To John Paul II ( http://EpistleOfLight.com ).   And as expected, John Paul ignored the opportunity to repent from the evil his Church brought upon all of mankind.   In fact, I have just begun work on a more detailed presentation which will demonstrate that the scriptures to prove the truth do exist, and can be found at any time that the Church truly desires Truth over manmade doctrines which are of Pagan origin (see http://ebionite.com/#purescriptures ).   And now you too, have been given the opportunity to make this knowledge available to the Christian world.

Contrary to what Christians would like to believe, their Bibles have not only been corrupted, but this corruption was necessary in order to bring about the greater good. And the more that the Church attempts to deny and conceal the facts that the very Hand of God has placed in their hands, the more they will become the salt that lost its essence, and was cast out to be trampled upon in the world. Decoding The Da Vinci Code

I guess Christians should be flattered. Who knew the Council of Nicea and Mary Magdalene could be this hot? Thanks in large measure to Dan Brown's fictional thriller The DaVinci Code, early church history just can't stay out of the news.

If only a more worthy work could have prompted such attention. Brown first grabbed the headlines and prime-time TV in 2003 with his theory that Jesus married Mary Magdalene. But The DaVinci Code contains many more (equally dubious) claims about Christianity's historic origins and theological development. It's left to the reader whether these theories belong to Brown's imagination or the skeleton of "facts" that supports the book.

Brown claims "almost everything our fathers taught us about Christ is false." Why? Because of a single meeting of bishops in 325, at the city of Nicea in modern-day Turkey. There, Brown argues, church leaders who wanted to consolidate their power base (he calls this, anachronistically, "the Vatican," or "the Roman Catholic church") created a divine Christ and an infallible Scripture—both novelties that had never before existed among Christians.

Greetings Today's Christian Woman:

The below article by Lisa Ann Cockrel which was printed in Sojourners ( http://www.sojo.net/ ), possesses a truth that few Christians have even thought about. I particularly liked Brian McLaren's statement: "One of the problems is that the average Christian in the average church who listens to the average Christian broadcasting has such an oversimplified understanding of both the Bible and of church history - it would be deeply disturbing for them to really learn about church history."

The Dilemma that confronts the Church today is that while the Religious Right is willing to embrace a very narrow dogmatic perception of Jesus' teachings, the Liberals who perhaps see more, are unwilling to live the Truths that the conservatives are in denial of. While it is true that Jesus was compassionate for the sufferings of the people, and women played an important role in his ministry, this compassion did not in any way lessen his requirement that it was necessary for man to seek and live the Truth. The fact of the matter is that not only is the ideologies of both conservative and liberal Christianity greatly flawed, but they are both in absolute denial of their original Ebionite/Nazirene foundations as demonstrated in a previous letter to Christianity Today (see http://ebionite.com/EbioniteDenial.htm ). And in the same way that because the Church is in denial as to the essence of Jesus' teachings ( http://Ebionite.com ) as to the corruption of the Church, the Hand of God has raised up the fictionalized speculation of the Da Vinci Code in order to draw attention to the fictionalized doctrines of the Church. Because Truth is rejected, God raises up one lie to bring attention to another lie that is being promoted in the Name of the Lord. And while the conservatives are in denial as to the Truth, the liberals discredit themselves in their lukewarmness towards the Truth -- i.e., "So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth" (Rev 3:16 NKJ). And both reject the Truth in order to embrace the doctrines of men -- i.e., "And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?" (Luke 6:46 KJV).

What Jesus taught was that if you desire Truth, then you must be willing to live that Truth in word, thought, desire and deed. Not in the manner of the conservatives who cling to the doctrines of Pagan Rome ( http://nazirene.org/unfaithful.htm ), while the liberals are only interested in promoting Jesus as the champion of social harmony and causes. And while it is true that much of the Da Vinci Code is speculation based upon certain foundational truths that both conservative and liberal Christians are in denial of, the fact that both groups continue to evade these foundational truths, only alienates each side from the Truth in their empty judgments of each other. The result is that each group condemns itself, by virtue of its judgment of the other.

While with hesitation I use the above word condemn -- simply because liberals totally reject the whole concept -- but the fact is that we are ourselves judged by our own judgments of others.   And this is a truly difficult concept for most Christians to deal with.   While it is absolutely necessary to exercise discernment, the facts are that each of us are ourselves tested in accord with our own perceptions and ideas.   As an example: While Sojourners Magazine ( http://www.sojo.net/ ) is critical of the Religious Right, what are they offering the people as an alternative.   And while it is good to be critical of the narrowness of the conservatives, the liberals are themselves evaluated by their own actions.   I have here used the word evaluated instead of judged, because it is important to understand that each person is limited by their own sentiments and positions.

Fundamentally, the Christian Church is agnostic.   Because the fourth century Roman Church murdered those who represented the spiritual essence of the religion ( see http://Ebionite.com/prologue.htm ), believers no longer understand that the Kingdom must be found while one is living in the body (see http://DivineManna.org ).   And because the most important teachings were all removed from the Bible as it was spiritually castrated by Pagan Rome ( see http://BibleCorruption.com ), Christianity has been reduced to agnosticism, because of the doctrinal limitations that have been imposed upon them by a long list of Roman Emperors and a very Pagan priesthood.   In addition to the many quotations on the Ebionite web site that proves the original Disciples of Jesus did not believe that he was the pagan god of Rome ( http://Ebionite.com ), there exists sufficient evidence to prove that the baptism verses were edited in order to support the Church created Jesus god-ship (see http://TheTenWords.com ).   So while the facts prove the conservatives have been greatly misguided by their claim that the Bible is infallible, where does this leave the liberals who continue to promote Jesus, while rejecting many of his most important spiritual teachings of TheWay?    And what about all those verses in the Bible that both liberal and conservatives ignore, which emphatically state that the Christian must not only bring about the next stage of birth (see http://ebionite.com/reincarnation.htm#birth ), but the Revelation and other such writings that the Doomsday prophets have used to invoke fear in the minds of the superstitious, is actually an allegorical portrayal of this process of soul-birth (see http://GateOfEden.com ).   And because the Church has consigned itself to embracing the doctrines of a Circus Prostitute and her emperor-husband (see http://ChristianReincarnation.org ), they fail to understand that their complacency towards the Truth in this life will not bring them success in the hereafter.

In our discernments and sentiments, it is not enough to oppose the flaws that you see in others, you must yourself be willing to become a Beacon and Light of Truth.   While it is easy to discern that the conservatives are in error on many important points, that we are able to point out that error does not make us right.   And the fact that it has been granted to us to be able to see the error of the conservatives, means that we are ourselves required to be fruitful in the insight that we have been given.   If we use this insight only to point out the error of our brothers -- without making ourselves a Beacon of Light to guide others in TheWay, then we have ourselves been overcome by our own discerning judgements and sentiments.   While the following verse still exists in the version of the Sermon on the Mount contained in Matthew, the words of the Gospel of the Nazirenes ( http://GospelOfTheNazirenes.org ) still retains the original thought which was paramount in the Hebrew Matthew used by the Ebionites: "Whosoever therefore will break one of these commandments which He will give, and will teach men so, they will be called the least in the kingdom; but who so ever will do, and teach them, the same will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. They who believe and obey will save their souls, and they who don't obey will lose them. For I say to you, That except your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees you will not enter the kingdom of heaven."

Since it can be easily demonstrated that the original Disciples of Jesus did not believe he was God incarnate in accord with the doctrines of Pagan Rome -- the fact that he was a man, just like you and me, and that he lived and embraced Truth to such a degree that the inner barriers of mind and being were overcome, and he became One with the Indwelling Logos -- gives a totally different perspective to his words that, those who fail to pick up their own cross and follow in his footsteps, are not worthy to be called his disciple: "And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me" (Luke 9:23 KJV).   While this verse would not make much sense if the Jesus-god doctrines of Rome were true, these words make perfect sense from an original Ebionite perspective.   And with respect to Paul's doctrine of faith over the ritual works of the Law, Paul was the father of Christian Gnosticism ( see http://nazirene.org/gnostic_paul.htm ), and Gnostic-faith is entirely different than the blind faith of Martin Luther which has shackled the Church to complacency and spiritual alienation from the Inner Kingdom (Luke 17:20-21).

Jesus proved that each of us is the prodigal son and daughter of our Heavenly Father -- and that each of us not only at one time dwelled in the Kingdom -- but that our Heavenly Father will actively communicate with us, whenever we are willing to arise from the ways and thinking of this world, and seek the Kingdom within.   Paul warned that the Truth is beyond organic man's ability to understand -- and he will condemn the Truth as "foolishness" (see http://ebionite.com/defeat.htm ).   And the foundation of what Jesus taught, is embodied in the words that to Know the Truth, you must be willing to Seek and Live the Truth. Not in accord with the pagan doctrines of Rome as Christians do today -- but rather, "...by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God" (Matt 4:4 KJV).    So while it is easy for liberals and conservatives to each point out the flaw in the vision of their brothers and sisters, while ignoring their own flawed vision -- i.e., "You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye" (Matt 7:5 NIV).   Just following this condemnation is the reality of the words: "Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces" (Matt 7:6 NIV).   Which means that only those who are willing to make themselves the "good ground" in the parable of the Sower and the Seed ( http://SowerAndSeed.com ), are able to spiritually receive the Truth.   And that we can see the flawed vision of our more conservative brothers and sisters, without converting them by seeking the Kingdom within ourselves, and shining a Beacon of Light before their eyes for them to see, only brings judgment and condemnation upon ourselves.

Brian McLaren on The Da Vinci Code

An interview by Lisa Ann Cockrel

With The Da Vinci Code poised to go from bestseller list to the big screen on May 19, pastor and writer (and Sojourners board member) Brian McLaren talks about why he thinks there's truth in the controversial book's fiction.

What do you think the popularity of The Da Vinci Code reveals about pop culture attitudes toward Christianity and the church?

Brian McLaren: I think a lot of people have read the book, not just as a popular page-turner but also as an experience in shared frustration with status-quo, male-dominated, power-oriented, cover-up-prone organized Christian religion. We need to ask ourselves why the vision of Jesus hinted at in Dan Brown's book is more interesting, attractive, and intriguing to these people than the standard vision of Jesus they hear about in church. Why would so many people be disappointed to find that Brown's version of Jesus has been largely discredited as fanciful and inaccurate, leaving only the church's conventional version? Is it possible that, even though Brown's fictional version misleads in many ways, it at least serves to open up the possibility that the church's conventional version of Jesus may not do him justice?

So you think The Da Vinci Code taps into dissatisfaction with Jesus as we know him?

McLaren: For all the flaws of Brown's book, I think what he's doing is suggesting that the dominant religious institutions have created their own caricature of Jesus. And I think people have a sense that that's true. It's my honest feeling that anyone trying to share their faith in America today has to realize that the Religious Right has polluted the air. The name "Jesus" and the word "Christianity" are associated with something judgmental, hostile, hypocritical, angry, negative, defensive, anti-homosexual, etc. Many of our churches, even though they feel they represent the truth, actually are upholding something that's distorted and false.

I also think that the whole issue of male domination is huge and that Brown's suggestion that the real Jesus was not as misogynist or anti-woman as the Christian religion often has been is very attractive. Brown's book is about exposing hypocrisy and cover-up in organized religion, and it is exposing organized religion's grasping for power. Again, there's something in that that people resonate with in the age of pedophilia scandals, televangelists, and religious political alliances. As a follower of Jesus I resonate with their concerns as well.

Do you think the book contains any significantly detrimental distortions of the Christian faith?

McLaren: The book is fiction and it's filled with a lot of fiction about a lot of things that a lot of people have already debunked. But frankly, I don't think it has more harmful ideas in it than the Left Behind novels. And in a certain way, what the Left Behind novels do, the way they twist scripture toward a certain theological and political end, I think Brown is twisting scripture, just to other political ends. But at the end of the day, the difference is I don't think Brown really cares that much about theology. He just wanted to write a page-turner and he was very successful at that.

Many Christians are also reading this book and it's rocking their preconceived notions - or lack of preconceived notions - about Christ's life and the early years of the church. So many people don't know how we got the canon, for example. Should this book be a clarion call to the church to say, "Hey, we need to have a body of believers who are much more literate in church history." Is that something the church needs to be thinking about more strategically?

McLaren: Yes! You're exactly right. One of the problems is that the average Christian in the average church who listens to the average Christian broadcasting has such an oversimplified understanding of both the Bible and of church history - it would be deeply disturbing for them to really learn about church history. I think the disturbing would do them good. But a lot of times education is disturbing for people. And so if The Da Vinci Code causes people to ask questions and Christians have to dig deeper, that's a great thing, a great opportunity for growth. And it does show a weakness in the church giving either no understanding of church history or a very stilted, one-sided, sugarcoated version.

On the other hand, it's important for me to say I don't think anyone can learn good church history from Brown. There's been a lot of debunking of what he calls facts. But again, the guy's writing fiction so nobody should be surprised about that. The sad thing is there's an awful lot of us who claim to be telling objective truth and we actually have our own propaganda and our own versions of history as well.

Let me mention one other thing about Brown's book that I think is appealing to people. The church goes through a pendulum swing at times from overemphasizing the deity of Christ to overemphasizing the humanity of Christ. So a book like Brown's that overemphasizes the humanity of Christ can be a mirror to us saying that we might be underemphasizing the humanity of Christ.

In light of The Da Vinci Code movie that is soon to be released, how do you hope churches will engage this story?

McLaren: I would like to see churches teach their people how to have intelligent dialogue that doesn't degenerate into argument. We have to teach people that the Holy Spirit works in the middle of conversation. We see it time and time again - Jesus enters into dialogue with people; Paul and Peter and the apostles enter into dialogue with people. We tend to think that the Holy Spirit can only work in the middle of a monologue where we are doing the speaking.

So if our churches can encourage people to, if you see someone reading the book or you know someone who's gone to the movie, say, "What do you think about Jesus and what do you think about this or that," and to ask questions instead of getting into arguments, that would be wonderful. The more we can keep conversations open and going the more chances we give the Holy Spirit to work. But too often people want to get into an argument right away. And, you know, Jesus has handled 2,000 years of questions, skepticism, and attacks, and he's gonna come through just fine. So we don't have to be worried.

Ultimately, The Da Vinci Code is telling us important things about the image of Jesus that is being portrayed by the dominant Christian voices. [Readers] don't find that satisfactory, genuine, or authentic, so they're looking for something that seems more real and authentic.

One of the most important teachings and concepts of the New Covenant is contained in the 90th chapter of the Gospel of the Nazirenes where Yeshua states: "Be faithful to the light you have, till a higher light is given to you. Seek more light, and you will have abundantly; rest not, until you find. God gives you all truth, as a ladder with many steps, for the salvation and perfection of the soul, and the truth which seems today, you will abandon for the higher truth tomorrow. Press toward perfection."

The rungs of the ladder make reference to the proverbial Jacob's Ladder -- he who sought the Face of God, wrestled with the Angel/Laws by night, and prevailed at dawn -- and in overcoming, became known as Israel. And when Yeshua commanded: "These twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying: Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans. But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel" (Matt 10:5-6 NKJ) -- and when they were instructed in the next verse to convey to the House of Israel that "the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand" -- Thayer's Lexicon states that this word in the Greek can also be rendered "to join one think to another". So where the Christians would view this as the Kingdom will come, the original meaning from an Ebionite Perspective in accord with Yeshua's teachings, was that Israel would be joined with the Kingdom. And this is the true meaning of the reality that escapes Christians today, when Yeshua stated: "But I tell you truly, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the kingdom of God" (Luke 9:27 NKJ).

To be joined to the Kingdom, and fulfill the requirement to be in the world and not of it, one had to fulfill the meaning of Israel within one's self. When the man came and asked Yeshua how to achieve eternal life? Yeshua did not say: "Believe in me and you will be saved". Yeshua told him to go, and fulfill the Law. On the central theme of the alleged beliefs ascribed to the Ebionites, the early church writer Hippolytus tells us: “They live conformably to the customs of the Jews, alleging that they are justified according to the law, and saying that Jesus was justified by fulfilling the law. And therefore it was, (according to the Ebionaeans,) that (the Savior) was named (the) Christ of God and Jesus, since not one of the rest (of mankind) had observed completely the law. For if even any other had fulfilled the commandments (contained) in the law, he would have been that Christ. And the (Ebionaeans allege) that they themselves also, when in like manner they fulfill (the law), are able to become Christs; for they assert that our Lord Himself was a man in a like sense with all the rest of the human family” (Hippolytus; The Refutation of All Heresies, Bk 7, Ch 22, Doctrine of the Ebionaeans). Yeshua became One with the indwelling aspect of God known as the Logos/Son of God, by overcoming the Laws of division, and the inner barrier-levels of being.

Thus, Yeshua called all men his brothers and sisters -- commanding them to call no man on earth their Father -- because like him, they were all equally the prodigal sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father. And all equally dwell in this world which Yeshua portrayed as the "far country", and all must equally return to the Edenic Kingdom of Origination (see Gate Of Eden). But Yeshua warned that each of us must seek the Kingdom within us (Luke 17:20-21), through the process of second-birth which is attained by walking in TheWay and entering through the "narrow gate" within us: "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it." (Matt 7:13-14 NKJ).

Only when you understand the Spiritual meaning of Israel, can you begin to comprehend why Yeshua said to the woman of Canaan: "But He answered and said, I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel" (Matt 15:24 NKJ) -- he is not speaking of a people who call themselves Jews, or Israel -- i.e., "I know your works, tribulation, and poverty (but you are rich); and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan" (Rev 2:9 NKJ). What are the works? In what is known as the Epistles of Christ, these are the works that must be accomplished to become a disciple, and walk in TheWay. What are the tribulations? These are the tribulations of bringing about the next stage of birth that is necessary to enter through the "narrow gate", and into the Kingdom: "We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God" (Acts 14:22 NKJ). And what is the poverty? It is the very meaning of the name Ebionite -- i.e. "the poor ones". It is those who, like the prodigal son who has arisen, and has begun the journey Home to the Edenic Kingdom from which he originally emerged, has totally left behind the thinking, mindset, culture and lifestyle of this world which is of the Devil, and has picked up his own cross and begun to travail in TheWay.

Of The Ten Words spoken to Yeshua at his baptism which was changed by the Church in order to create the doctrine of the divinity of Jesus (see The Ten Word), the Adam Clark Bible Commentary correctly states that if these words are true, then "...the whole Christian system is vain and baseless". Why? Because believers are complacently worshiping the pattern, instead of embracing it in such a way, that they overcome this world, and prevail in the same manner that Yeshua taught.

but rather, those who, like Jacob, are themselves wrestling with the Laws, and climbing the Ladder that transcends into the Heavens. In the allegory of the written word, the Gentiles are those who worship the gods and powers of this world -- being themselves ruled over by their lower carnal appetites, they are the people who Yeshua spoke of as being dead. The Samaritans are those who claim to believe, but live and embrace the culture of the heathen. On the other hand, the House of Spiritual Israel, are those who seek Truth, and are willing to live it in word, thought, desire and deed. And that the Pharisees were not of the House of Spiritual Israel, is the reason why he condemned them as the offspring of the Devil: "Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me" (John 8:43-45 NKJ).

Those Who Believe A Lie: These same words remain true to this very day! There is the Truth -- but the vast number of people who call themselves believers, reject that Truth, and they cannot understand the Truth. Why? Because they believe a lie! They believe many lies! And because they believe a lie, they can never, ever, come to know the Truth -- and hear the Truth -- until they first come to see the error of their beliefs. Why? Because each rung of Jacob's Ladder must be climbed -- and at each level there are truths to learn that develop the mind and bring a level of oneness -- and at each level there are Laws that must be overcome, in order to go onto the next rung. But if you believe a lie, then it is impossible to go beyond that point, and the Laws will not permit you to go onto the next rung of Jacob's Ladder.

If you say you believe in Yeshua/Jesus, and you have not fulfilled these words, then you do not a believer --

The Disciples of Yeshua/Jesus were Jews, and they were Ebionites of the Nazirene Vow of Consecration. For largely sectarian, political and cultural reasons, the Ebionites were, as Edward Gibbon states: “…rejected from one religion as apostates, and from the other as heretics” (Gibbon: Decline & Fall of the Roman Empire). But so too was Yeshua, as well as his disciples. And in the Gospel of the Nazirenes Yeshua states: "...the time comes, that who so ever kills you will think that they do God's service." A man of intelligence will therefore ask the question: Did the Christian world embrace the teachings of Yeshua and TheWay? Or did they corrupt and convert these teachings in order to accommodate their own ideas of God, religion, culture and man's destiny?

If you do a Google search on the name Ebionite, you will most often encounter the condemnation of them as heretics. Yet, if they were not the heretics that the Church has proclaimed, then the religion of modern believers is not only illegitimate and spiritually impotent, but by virtue of the believers judgments and condemnation, they consign themselves to the abyss of absolute ignorance. Why? Because if the Yeshua who walked the earth in the first century of our Common Era, is not the same as the Jesus of the Christian Church, then the Church has consigned themselves to never, ever, knowing the Truth -- and everything they think they know, will have been built upon the foundation of misconception and error.

n intelligent When we judge and condemn, what we do not understand or have not proven, then we consign ourselves to the depths of the abyss of ignorance.

When the Hand of God bestows upon man Divine Wisdom in the form of Knowledge or Revelation, and man ignores or rejects that God has given unto him, then the Left Hand of Correction begins to move against man, in order to force him to see the error of his ways. In 1947 the Church was given the Dead Sea Scrolls -- as well as the Nag Hammadi Library and other important discoveries that was needed to bring about a true spiritual renewal and re-birth. At first the Dead Sea Scrolls was on Palestinian land and under the control of the Christian Church -- and what was revealed in the Scrolls was for the most part kept from the flock of believers. Then came the 1967 six day war that shifted the Scrolls to Jewish Israeli control. And while much more of the content of the scrolls was revealed, the Church continued to turn it's back on the implications of the Essene, Ebionite Christian connection. Such groups as the Jehovah's Witnesses even deceived their followers, and told them that they were the most like the Essene/Ebionite followers and disciples of Yeshua and TheWay. And as the Church continued to ignore the implications of the Scrolls, the violence in the Mid East continued to rage -- and this violence is the result of the backlash of the rejected Wisdom and Knowledge which was given unto man from On High. At present we can observe this Corrective Action of the Laws working in another way -- i.e., to counter the fallacy and corrupted manmade doctrines of the Church, a series of books which contain fragments of misunderstood truths, were raised up in opposition to the equally fictional doctrines of the Church. And while the Church has for half a century ignored the Truth and the Facts, we find many Christians offended and outraged as the fictitious accounts of books such as the Da Vinci Codes and The Jesus Papers. So in judging these works of fiction based upon partial truths, the Church is in fact judging its own manmade fictional doctrines based upon partial truths. And as Christians speak out against what the very Hand of God has raised up -- in condemnation of what God has brought forth -- what we have is the quagmire of ignorance.

The Facts Of The Scholar

The profound long-suspected truth about Christianity became an indisputable fact when Dead Sea Scroll expert and biblical scholar A. Powell Davies expressed the immortal words when he said: “Biblical scholars were not disturbed by what they found in the Dead Sea Scrolls because they had known all along that the origin of Christianity was not what was commonly supposed to have been” (quoted by Millar Burrows in More Light on the Dead Sea Scrolls). Worse yet, Edmund Wilson, an expert who worked on the Dead Sea Scrolls further raised the question as to what difference it makes if “Jesus... had been trained in the discipline and imbued with the thought of a certain Jewish sect, and that he had learned from it the role that he afterwards lived...” (The Scrolls From The Dead Sea). To the uninformed and unknowing believer, it made all the difference in the world! And when Prof. John Allegro was quoted as saying that what has been revealed in the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls is a great amount of overwhelming evidence that “...may upset a great many basic teachings of the Christian Church. This in turn would greatly upset many Christian Theologians and believers. The heart of the matter is, in fact, the source and originality of Christian doctrine” (August 1966 issue of Harpers Magazine); what he was in fact stating is that, everything that we now know about Christian beginnings demonstrate that the Essene/Ebionites were not the heretics, as they were falsely portrayed by the later Gentile church, but were in fact the body of genuine believers that held fast to the authentic teachings of Yeshua/Jesus and the New Covenant.

In one of the latest assaults upon the Church with the sword of historical facts (The Jesus Papers : Exposing the Greatest Cover-Up in History), author Michael Baigent poses the question: "What if everything you think you know about Jesus is wrong?" And the basis of his book is in the description: "As a religious historian and a leading expert in the field of arcane knowledge, Baigent has unequaled access to hidden archives, secret societies, Masonic records, and the private collections of antiquities traders and their moneyed clients." But perhaps even more revealing is presented in one of the author's previous books entitled The Dead Sea Scroll Deception, where a Publishers Review states of the book: "For the lay reader, this crystalline, well-documented work offers substantive evidence that for more than 40 years a small coterie of Catholic scholars established a stranglehold on access to the Dead Sea Scrolls, which were discovered in the Qumran caves east of Jerusalem in 1947. Baigent and Leigh ( Holy Blood, Holy Grail ) claim that the elite group had direct links to official Vatican propaganda offices, that at least two among them were outspoken anti-Semites, and that they suppressed material that connects early Christianity to the Qumran community as well as to the zealous defenders of the fortress of Masada. Drawing on the findings of independent Dead Sea Scrolls scholar Robert Eisenman of California State University, the authors advance startling theories that should change the way we view ancient Judaism and nascent Christianity. They argue that the Essenes, Zealots and Nazorenes or early Christians in first-century Palestine weren't different Jewish sects but were, rather, various sobriquets for members of a broad messianic nationalistic movement dedicated to upholding the Law of Moses and determined to violently overthrow the Roman occupiers. The authors also amass evidence that the Habakkuk Commentary and other Dead Sea Scrolls refer to the same events as those recounted in Acts, in Josephus and in the works of early Christian historians; that Paul was sent forth by the hierarchy in Jerusalem for the express purpose of recruiting an army, and by preaching a new religion, he was depoliticizing and emasculating the militant movement; and that Paul might have been a Roman agent or informer. Baigent and Leigh demonstrate the perfidies of clandestine, cliquish scholarship that isn't accountable to the public and make urgent the forthwith publication and translation of all Scrolls material."

As demonstrated on the main Ebionite web site ( http://Ebionite.com ), the present-day doctrines of the Church have very little in common with the original teachings of Yeshua and TheWay. Why? Because they are primarily the concepts of Mithraicism with Jesus installed as the latest incarnation of the pagan sun-god of Constantine (see The Christian Judas). And the facts are beginning to envelop the Church because it falsely believed it could simply ignore one of the first voices of reason -- that of Dead Sea Scroll expert John Allegro, who was at that time a Professor at Manchester University -- who worked extensively on the scrolls, where he was quoted in the August 1966 issue of Harpers Magazine as stating: “The very scholars who should be most capable of working on the documents and interpreting them have displayed a not altogether surprising, but nonetheless curious, reluctance to go to the heart of their matter. The scholars appear to have held back from making discoveries which, there is evidence to believe, may upset a great many basic teachings of the Christian Church. This in turn would greatly upset many Christian Theologians and believers. The heart of the matter is, in fact, the source and originality of Christian doctrine”.

As the Church predicatively attempted to ignore the facts, many other scholars and historians have begun to sound the warning of fraud -- as seen in the review of the book, The Dead Sea Scroll Deception, by the Library Journal: "This emotional account of the events surrounding the discovery and translation of the scrolls attempts to uncover the theological and political efforts by individuals, governments, and religious institutions to keep controversial documents unpublished, ostensibly to preserve orthodox intepretations. The English authors, Baigent and Leigh, base their study on the work of Robert Eisenmen and other religious scholars who maintain that a conspiracy of consensus led to stagnant reinterpretation of old doctrine, rather than true research which would contest preconceived notions with newly discovered evidence. New theories by Eisenmen and others, which challenge the roots of Christianity as well as New Testament doctrine and history, are discussed. Standard works such as John M. Allegro's The Dead Sea Scrolls & the Christian Myth ( LJ 6/1/84), Roland De Vaux's Discoveries in the Judean Desert (Oxford Univ. Pr., 1977), and Geza Vermes's The Dead Sea Scrolls in English (Viking, 1988. rev. ed.), and many others are preferable to this acrid introductory "expose."-- Paula I. Nielson, Loyola Marymount Univ. In the recently discovered Gospel of Thomas it is written: (12) The disciples said to Jesus, "We know that you will depart from us. Who is to be our leader?" Jesus said to them, "Wherever you are, you are to go to James the righteous, for whose sake heaven and earth came into being." So to once again restore the teachings of TheWay which is today known as Christianity, the Lord has sent Jacob/James, the Brother of Yeshua/Jesus, back into the world in order to guide the faithful flock into the Truth, the Light, and the Kingdom within (Luke 17:20-21). It is there that my brother Yeshua/Jesus awaits you.

The above warning with respect to the predicted corruption of Yeshua's teachings is further stated in the first century writings known today as the Clementine Recognitions where it is written: "Our Lord and Prophet, who hath sent us, declared to us that the wicked one, having disputed with Him forty days, and having prevailed nothing against Him, promised that he would send apostles from amongst his subjects, to deceive. Wherefore, above all, remember to shun apostle or teacher or prophet who does not first accurately compare his preaching with that of James, who was called the brother of my Lord, and to whom was entrusted to administer the church of the Hebrews in Jerusalem, — and that even though he come to you with witnesses: lest the wickedness which disputed forty days with the Lord, and prevailed nothing, should afterwards, like lightning falling from heaven upon the earth, send a preacher to your injury, as now he has sent Simon upon us, preaching, under pretense of the truth, in the name of the Lord, and sowing error. Wherefore He who hath sent us, said, ‘Many shall come to me in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. By their fruits ye shall know them.’"

Again it is warned by Clement: "Wherefore observe the greatest caution, that you believe no teacher, unless he bring from Jerusalem the testimonial of James the Lord’s brother, or of whosoever may come after him. For no one, unless he has gone up thither, and there has been approved as a fit and faithful teacher for preaching the word of Christ, — unless, I say, he brings a testimonial thence, is by any means to be received. But let neither prophet nor apostle be looked for by you at this time, besides us. For there is one true Prophet, whose words we twelve apostles preach"

As predicted, the ministers of Satan have succeeded in altering the teachings of my brother Yeshua, and continue to lead many into the abyss of darkness. But have no fear my brothers and sisters, for the teachings of TheWay has been restored so that you might be able to overcome the darkness, and enter the Kingdom of Light within you (Luke 17:20-21).
